HAND PAINTED MURALS

The art of trompe l‘Oeil. The columns in this painting are hand painted in the famous trompe l‘oeil technique. They feel realistic thanks to the use of perspective, light and shadow. On the picture on the right the faux sandstone wall is visible. Tip: Faux stone walls are not tacky provided the artist is not trying to recreate a 99% likeness to the real thing! Faux sandstone blocks have been painted for centuries and are still available in gorgeous Italian Palazzi or even outside on Italian house facades!
